Popis:	The 5,11b-methanomorphanthridine structure of brunsvigine is unambiguously identified through NMR, CD and mass spectrometry. The structure of brunsvigine is related to the other 5,11b-methanomorphanthridine alkaloids by methylation as well as through a series of Hofmann degradations.
