Popis: The primary role of the radiologist is to examine patients, usually with the help of ionizing radiation, in order to provide information of use in patient care. The radiologist functions as a consultant that is, patients are referred to him by many other physicians, and he delivers information obtained from his special methods of examination back to each patient's referring physician. As a result the radiologist deals with greater numbers of patients than most physicians. Also, he needs to move a great deal of data quickly and accurately.
