Popis: Japanese Encephalitis (JE) is one of the major health concerns in Assam. The three districts of Assam, viz., Dibrugarh, Sivsagar, and Tinsukia are considered to be endemic and an early warning system, viz., Japanese Encephalitis Warning System (JEWS) developed by North Eastern Space Application Center (NESAC) has been deployed there since 2014. In this paper, a statistical analysis has been done, using chi-squared test and Bayes Factor (BF), to find the effectiveness of JEWS in mitigating the case fatality ratio in the three endemic districts of Assam and it has been found that there is very weak evidence in favor of its effectiveness.
