Popis: | This study on greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in Germany is based on the national greenhouse gas inventory, which was compiled as part of a report [the EU's National Inventory Report (NIR)] to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), in order to collect and evaluate data about all direct GHG emissions from agriculture at the state level. The purpose of this analysis was (1) to determine which GHG sources are the most important and should, therefore, be primarily considered for the implementation of mitigation strategies; and (2) to find any possible connections between structural and technological changes as well as changes in management which have influenced the amount of GHG emissions from the individual sources over the past years since 1990. |
