Synthesis, characterization and structures of binuclear copper(II) and polynuclear cobalt(II), nickel(II) and cadmium(II) complexes involving N4-donor pyrazolyl based ligand and dicyanamide as bridging ligand

Popis: | Binuclear copper(II) complex [Cu(bdpab)(μ-1,5dca)]2(ClO4)2 and polynuclear complexes [M(bdpab)(μ-1,5dca)]n(ClO4)n [M = Ni(II), Co(II) and Cd(II) and dca = dicyanamide anion, {N(CN)2-}] were synthesized using pyrazolyl containing tetradentate N4- coordinate ligand bdpab and bridging ligand dca and characterized by spectral data and single crystal X-ray diffraction studies. Structural characterization by single crystal X-ray diffraction studies show copper complex is binuclear and two copper centres are bridged by two μ-1,5dca ligands whereas Co(II) and Cd(II) complexes are polynuclear and two metal centres are bridged by one μ-1,5dca ligand in zig-zag pattern and all metal centres have octahedral geometry. |
