Popis: | Education is considered a pillar of any society. Monitoring the performance of education institutes is of high importance to satisfy its goals. Enterprise Architecture (EA) lends itself well to the goal of monitoring performance in higher education institutions by providing several benefits. Architecture as a profession has existed for long time ago and today there is a myriad of Enterprise Architectures (EA) frameworks to choose from. The approach of the enterprise architecture framework has been used in various industries such as education, health and commerce. This research has chosen TOGAF framework to build a proposed model. The enterprise architecture TOGAF framework has four architectures for analysis. Technology, business, information, and application are the four architectures aspects where they find in any Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). However, this research seeks to model and simulate (HEI) enterprise architecture proposed methodology at Deanship of Graduate Studies (DGS) at King Abdulaziz University. Also, this research provides a detailed evaluation of the development & implementation of adopting HEI proposed methodology in the deanship of graduate studies KAU. As the result of adopting EA at Deanship of Graduate Studies (DGS) at King Abdulaziz University, it contributes to improving architecture performance management to positive levels by optimizing some business processes and automating them, upgrading and simplifying application/technology architectures, increasing the efficiency of the processes to the highest level, enhancing the decision making process in the deanship, and keeping the deanship stakeholders satisfy. |
