Popis: | The problem of limiting the flow of heat-transfer agent under conditions of emergency loss of integrity is an extremely pressing one. The patent literature proposes several solutions for this problem [i, 2]. As a rule, these solutions involve either safety devices which automatically seal off a section of piping at the instant that emergency loss of integrity occurs, or Venturi-type nozzles that do not seal off but only restrict the flow of heat-transfer agent. The latter are more promising from the standpoint of realiability, since they do not contain moving parts. At the same time, it should always be borne in mind that, under rated operating conditions, such nozzles are "parasitic" resistances, and therefore in choosing the geometry of the flow part of the nozzle it is necessary not only to ensure efficient limiting the flowrate of heat-transfer agent under emergency conditions, but also to guarantee low hydraulic resistance under normal operating conditions~ |
