Popis:	Taeniolella rudis, with secondary sympodioconidia, is illustrated and described and its taxonomic assignment evaluated. A second new species, Taeniolella longissima, is described and illustrated. The ecological role of these fungi in the colonization of wood in freshwater habitats is discussed.
