| Popis: | This paper analyzes the experience of the existential place in the short story “Mal-entendidos” (Prantos, amores e outros desvarios, 2016), by the Portuguese author Teolinda Gersao. The narrative focuses on the place lived in old age in the midst of incommunicability and artificialism in the contemporary family relations. The textual tessitura articulates the fictional subjectivity to the real world objectivism, as an inner exile, understood as an attitude of resistance, updating the discussion about the human condition of the elderly people in the XXI century. The theoretical contribution will be mainly supported by Yi-Fu Tuan, Paul Illie, Maria Heloisa Dias and Simone de Beauvoir. |
