Popis: | Groups increasingly drive value creation in organizations. Yet, although competence has been described at the individual and organizational level, descriptions of group competence are scarce. In this study, traditional input- process-output group models were extended by using a competence-based approach that offers a multilevel and comprehensive way to study group behavior. A homologous model of competence at the individual and group level of analysis was tested with several game simulations. Empirical results support the validity and applicability of social cognitive theory for a homologous multilevel model of competence. Implications are drawn for the management of groups in dynamic and complex situations. |
