Industry 4.0 Technologies in the Control of Covid-19 in Peru

Popis: Introduction: COVID-19 is a disease caused by the new coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, which has spread rapidly around the world. In this paper we first define the technologies of 4.0 industry used to control the pandemic. Objective: To describe the use of technology in the control of COVID-19 in Peru. Materials and methods: Systematic review of applied technologies for COVID-19 management in Peru. The revision was limited to material published in Spanish and English, preferably from indexed sources and official websites, since January 2020. Results: There are different technological solutions implemented in different countries for prevention and containment; some of them have been considered by the Peruvian government, according to the reality of technological and digital development of the country. Discussion and Conclusion: This article reviews the main Industry 4.0 technological solutions implemented around the world to appropriately manage the global health emergency. Some of these solutions, applied for pandemic control, are utilized in the strategies design by Peruvian Government; however, there are other technologies not used yet that have been identified as appropriate. In addition, some improvements in the solutions and policies are discussed, concluding that even if technology plays an important role for COVID-19 control, it is not the only factor affecting the results, as human approach and state policies are crucial for better outcomes.
