Popis: | A 47 year-old woman suffered from gait disturbance due to back pain and muscle weakness. Laboratory data showed serum hypophosphatemia, elevated alraline phosphatase, normal level of ionized calcium. She had family or past history of any significant disorders. Therefore, we initially treated her as adult onset osteomalacia. 19 years later (aged 68 years), she complained of a buttock tumor. Excision of the tumor was carried out with histological diagnosis confrming a glomus tumor. After removal of the tumor, the above symptoms disappeared and the laboratory data rehirned to the normal range 8 months later. |
