The viscosity of PbO/PbF2/B2O3 fluxes and of Y3Al5O12 solutions

Popis: The viscosity of the flux system (0.454 PbO · 0.546 PbF2) · x B2O3 with O < x < 8% (by weight) and of solutions in these fluxes of Y3Al5O12 has been determined in the range 700–1200°C. The effect of B2O3 was found to be complex, involving perhaps three competing factors. The solutions appear to exhibit non- Newtonian behaviour.
