Popis: The luminescence spectra and the luminescence‐excitation spectra of ZnSe crystals grown by the Piper–Polish method have been investigated in the temperature interval 81–300 K. An intense edge emission assigned to the presence of iodine has been detected. The analysis of the longwave photoluminescence band by the Alentsev–Fok method has revealed a yellow luminescence band which is attributed to the associative emission centers involving I Se.
