Dynamics of Iris humilis Georgi (Iridaceae) coenopopulation in the urban environment (on the example of Kemerovo)

Popis: | In 1996–2019, changes in population and morphometric parameters of the Iris humilis coenopopulationgrowing in Kemerovo in the recreational zone were assessed. The variation of these indicators was influenced by weatherconditions, endogenous processes and anthropogenic load. As a result of construction activities, the area of the coenopopulation decreased. Weather conditions influenced the values of population indicators and the size of shoots and fruits,as well as the number of flowers on the shoot, but their determination by weather conditions is lower than the density ofshoots. The nature of the variability of demographic characteristics was of a wave-like nature and was caused to a greaterextent by internal biological factors, but as a result of the pressure of recreational load, the values of density and numberdecreased in general. The percentage of flowering I. humilis in the studied coenopopulation is lower than in natural populations and in culture. In the years of the study, there was a steady decline in the vitality of the coenopopulation. At thesame time, this coenopopulation has the potential for self-healing and self-maintenance, and its vitality can be increasedby reducing the anthropogenic load on it |
