Popis: A metamaterial integrated circular polarization long-wavelength quantum well infrared photodetector is presented. A maximum circular polarization extinction ratio of 4.2:1 is achieved at 1037.5 cm-1 (9.64 μm), which is more than two times higher than previously reported values. The metamaterial also enhances the responsivity by one order of magnitude.
