Metrological support for DNA sequencing

Popis: We discuss the operating principle of a pyrosequencer, which is an instrument for sequential reading of the nucleotide sequence of DNA molecules in pyrophosphate sequencing (pyrosequencing). We formulate the basic principles of metrological support for DNA sequencing and we present the results of studies of the metrological characteristics of the GS FLX pyrosequencer. We list the major problems encountered in designing a system for metrological support of DNA sequencing.
