Popis:	The major result of this paper is a description of the near-endomorphism ring of an almost completely decomposable (acd) group. Using this characterization, I present a new proof that an indecomposable acd group has no proper near-summands, and a characterization of the nil and Jacobson radicals of the near-endomorphism ring of an acd group.
