The earthquakes are natural phenomena frequently occurring in the Earth's crust. Some of them cause material losses and even indirectly kill people. Their occurrence can't be predicted; because they are the result of complex nonlinear dynamical behaviors. However, several studies have suggested the existence of the electric precursors that might be related to earthquakes of high magnitude. There are several reports in the literature describing abnormal behavior of geoelectrical signals likely related to these natural events. In this work, is proposed the implementation of an instrumentation system to measure geoelectrical signals. The data are recorded continuously and can be accessed remotely. With this system, harmonic signals of $\sim 10(\text{mV}_{\mathrm{p}-\mathrm{p}})$ with $f (Hz) can be measured. The input signal is amplified by a gain of $G=10$ and, it is filtered by a low pass filter with a cut-off frequency of $f_{c}=5$ (Hz). |
