Popis: In this final chapter, it is argued that the harmful consequences of the US policy on the international trade in bananas were both immediate and long-term and undermined the economic and social stability leaving these very small countries vulnerable to drug trafficking and other forms of transnational crime. This increased the risk of instability in the Caribbean and this was detrimental to US national interest in the region.
