Popis:	The development of a new method for the synthesis of tetrasubstituted furans using aromatic alkynes is reported. The strategy involves a tandem process of palladium-catalyzed oxidation and Zn(OTf) 2 -catalyzed cyclization in the presence of molecular oxygen.
