Popis: The effect of cold vasodilatation after refrigeration on the lower lip area of 41 patients suffering from diagnosed sensory paralysis was evaluated. This results were compared with those of 20 healthy subjects.1) “The effective data group” the difference in the skin temperature rise between the contracted side and the other normal side was seen in 82.9% of the patients examined. The skin temperature difference was seen between 2 minutes and 4 minutes after refrigeration.2) The negative data on the skin temperature rise of the contract side being quicker than the normal side was seen in 5 patients. These results were found in the patients who complained of hypersensitivity.3) The no effect data group with no difference in the skin temperature rise occupied 17.1% of the total case. All patients of this group were older cases.4) “In the healthy group”, the difference in the skin temperature rise between the two sides was not seen. From this experimental study, the cold vasodilatation test seems to be useful in the examination of lower lip sensory paralysis.
