Brevik (Statoil ASA) SUMMARY This study aims to develop an efficient and accurate method of modelling rock physics properties in shales with known mineralogy. There are numerous papers on clay mineral moduli but these moduli are commonly too high to apply directly in rock physics models. Therefore it is suggested to perform inversion of rock physics models to find appropriate values of mineral moduli.
