The article presents the organization and the structure of the Georgi Benkovski Bulgarian Air Force Academy’s Air and Space Surveillance Center, established in 2022. The opportunities of the Center for both monitoring the airspace of the Republic of Bulgaria and for observation and astrometric processing of astronomical images, are also addressed. The trends for future development of the structure and the capabilities of the Center and its activities, are examined. A brief overview and an analysis of the advantages for the students of the BAFA, since its commissioning, is made. |
