Background Acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) combined with acute kidney injury (AKI) remains a challenge for clinicians. Early identification of high-risk patients is essential to ensure proper management. However, the present literature does not provide such an instrument. The purpose of this study is to develop a fast and easy to manage instrument to predict the prognosis of patients with ARDS and AKI. Methods We extracted data from Medical Information Mart for Intensive Care-IV v2.0. Variable selection was based on LASSO regression. Then, we constructed a nomogram model and the performances of the model were evaluated with area under the curve (AUC), and decision curve analysis (DCA) respectively.
