Popis: | A flow injection system for screening antioxidant activity was developed using lipoxygenase enzyme immobilized on 1,1′-carbonydiimidazole activated cross-linked beaded agarose support. Oxygen consumption and hydroperoxide formation were measured using a Clark oxygen electrode and a UV detector located downstream relative to the flow column. The measurement of the rate of oxygen consumption and hydroperoxide formation provide a unique dual signal method to detect antioxidant activity. Antioxidant detection is demonstrated for microalgal extracts. |
