Popis: | Measurements of density and speed of sound are reported for phenylboronic acid–water solutions for molalities ranging from 0.0098 to 0.1490 mol⋅kg−1 and temperatures ranging from 288.15 K to 313.15 K. Several thermodynamic parameters for phenylboronic acid–water solutions have been calculated from the experimental data. The capability of phenylboronic acid to have strong solute–solvent interactions and weaker solute–solute interactions in aqueous solutions has been revealed and the results of this investigation are consistent with molecular model images generated using Spartan 04 modeling. |
