Popis: Each of the two methods mentioned in the title has a specific modelling potential. The dynamics of large-scale systems can thoroughly describe the systems behaviour in time and the Petri-nets describe in a concentrate form the discrete events and their sequence. Using these models in a personal way and putting them to work together, a Flexible Manufacturing System (FMS) is described by a system of recursive equations of discrete dynamics and a matrix of Petri-nets. Using these abstract models simplifies setting up of the computer program. In the form they are presented, they allow the direct analys of FMS by simulation. Also, by using target functions and by attaching restraining conditions the models can be used in FMS synthesis. By designing a translation procedure of the model in the real system, the model can be also used in processes control.
