Popis: In the present paper the effects of 940 MHz electromagnetic field (EMF) with two types of polarization (linear vs. circular electric field polarization) on the structure of Adult Hemoglobin (HbA) protein macromolecule are studied. The waves produced by mobile phone bases stations in urban areas are almost circularly-polarized, whereas most conventional studies have focused on linearly-polarized waves. Structural studies of irradiated HbA through intrinsic fluorescence showed that the conformation of protein was changed under both polarization types, and this change is significantly greater in circular polarization.
