Popis: | ATR FTIR spectroscopy was used to investigate the behaviour of reverse nonionic surfactant Pluronic 31R1 in aqueous and the Propylammonium acetate (PAAc) ionic liquid (IL) solutions at room temperature. The O-H stretching band of Pluronic 31R1/water is deconvoluted into five sub-bands to describe the frequency components related to each coordination type. The hydrated state, due to bound water molecules, and the dehydrated state components were extracted from the curve-fitting between 1400 and 1320 cm−1. The absorbance spectrum of PAAc IL was used for the goal of study in the behavior of Pluronic 31R1 in the Pluronic 31R1/IL and Pluronic 31R1/water/IL solutions. We showed that the Pluronic 31R1 was totally dissolved in a pure PAAc solution confirming the good solvent character of IL. We have also showed, from the ternary Pluronic 31R1/water/PAAc spectra, that the peaks area and the intensity are inversely proportional to the PAAc volume added in solution. |
