Popis: | The results of experimental study on the probability density function in case when a number of scatterers in the resolution element of the optical system is small are presented in this paper. The measurements have been carried out with ground glass and roughly polished plexiglass specimens at λ =0.63 μm . The range of intensity fluctuations explored was up to 80 mean values, the corresponding relative dispersion range was 1–8. Experimentally derived histograms of the probability density function were in good agreement with the K-distribution model. |
