Popis:	Using sources of laser trapped radioactive atoms in beta-decay experiments could lead to more precise measurements of decay correlations that can be used to test the Standard Model of electroweak interactions. We discuss a recent demonstration of the feasibility of slowing and trapping significant numbers of accelerator produced short lived atoms.
