Popis: To the Editor.— Kawasaki disease is a disease of unknown etiology affecting infants and young children. Its epidemiology as observed in Japan and in many other countries suggests that the etiology is infectious.1 We wish to report two cases of Kawasaki disease in first cousins that strongly suggest person-to-person transmission. The first patient was a Japanese boy, aged 3 years and 8 months, living in Tokyo. He had been in excellent health until February 17, 1989 when he had a sudden fever which continued for 6 days.
