Application of microcalorimetric technique for studying the change of specific heat after charge in dielectrics

Popis: Summary form only given, as follows. Insulators, polymers and ceramic oxides have been charged under electron irradiation. Then the specific heat C/sub p/ has been measured in a microcalorimeter at room temperature. In addition to the lattice contribution C/sub p//sup L/ we have to consider two extra terms due to the charge /spl delta/C/sub P//sup charge/ and to the polarization /spl delta/C/sub P//sup pol/. Results show that the behavior of C/sub p/(t) as a function of the time depends on /spl delta/C/sub P//sup charge/ (t) and /spl delta/C/sub P//sup pol/ (t). The variation of the specific heat as a function of the charge has been also investigated in this work.
