Popis: The increasing demand for renewable energy resources is driving the rapid development of offshore wind farms in Western Europe. These wind farms typically consist of more than 40 turbines which are supported with piled tripods, jackets or gravity base foundations. Due to the large number of relatively closely spaced foundations, a very extensive site investigation program is often required by certifying bodies or national authorities. Such programs often require one or more boreholes at each turbine location.
