Popis: The focus of this review is to describe advances in three-dimensional (3D) organoids reported in the literature with an emphasis on the engineering of microfluidic device platforms for investigating neuro-organoids. Furthermore, the paper will assess current limitations in microfluidic design that must be addressed for realizing the full potential of brain-on-a-chip devices.
