Popis:	In the presence of saccharide-derived bifunctional amine-thiourea catalysts, the direct aldol condensation of trifluoroacetaldehyde methyl hemiacetal with aromatic ketones proceeds to produce ( R )-β-hydroxy β-trifluoroalkyl ketones in low to moderate yields with good enantioselectivities.
