Popis: | A QUICKBASIC program calculates the distribution pattern of δ 34 S values of aqueous H 2 S as a function of log fO 2 and pH, as well as other geochemical parameters, such as temperature, ion strength, and δ 34 S value of total sulfur in a hydrothermal system. This distribution pattern can be translated into a sulfur isotopic distribution pattern of sulfide (pyrite, chalcopyrite, pyrrhotite, sphalerite, and galena) and sulfate (barite and anhydrite) minerals. Output data of this program can be used easily to construct a sulfur isotope contour in a log fO 2 -pH diagram, which is used widely to interpret the geochemical environment of hydrothermal mineralization. |
