Neutron diffraction study of the ferromatnetic spinel LiZn0.5Mn1.504

Popis: Elastic neutron diffraction experiments show that the cubic spinel LiZn 0.5 Mn 1.5 0 4 which has an O 7 space group is a ferromagnet up to T c = 22K where the moment drops from 1.1 μ B to zero. Another first order magnetic transition takes place at T 1 = 15 K with 20% moment reduction. Comparison is made with magnetization measurements and the unusual ferromagnetism of this spinel is discussed.
