Popis: The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has developed a set of Agency-level requirements which cover the risk areas associated with the safety, reliability, maintainability and quality assurance disciplines. This set of requirements applies to NASA activities ranging from space exploration to aeronautics research to product quality to the protection of the NASA family. With the establishment of NASA’s new human exploration programs, NASA realized that it needed to develop a methodology for sorting through the wide variety of knowledge captured in the Agency requirements and identify how those requirements are applicable to each emerging program. This paper will highlight the process used by NASA to filter the thousands of requirements into a concise set which would reduce overall programmatic risk without overburdening the program.Copyright © 2011 by ASME
