Popis: In order to solve the problem that the resonant grounding distribution network cannot accurately locate the fault section when a high-resistance grounding fault occurs, a scheme to locate the fault section by using the initial wave head polarity and the head end capacitive frequency band phase of the zero-mode current traveling wave is proposed. The scheme obtains the fault wave recorded data of the feeder terminal units of each section, and extracts the traveling wave head by using the modified Hilbert-Huang transform. Then the traveling wave head is taken as the reference point to align the sampled data of each terminal, and finally the zero-mode current initial wave head polarity criterion and the cross wavelet transform phase criterion are used for discriminating the fault section. The test results based on PSCAD and the self-developed fault section location terminal show that the proposed scheme is basically not affected by the size of the transition resistance, and can be well adapted to various situations of ground resistance and fault closing angle.
