Synthesis of RbxC 60 Film by Electrolysis

Popis: An electrolysis process was used to obtain a Rb1C60 film from an organic electrolyte containing C60 molecules. The solution used was a mixture of 0.3 mM–C60, 0.1 N–RbClO4 and N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF)/toluene (1:1). The particles in the obtained film were spindle-shaped and grew to a size of about 1 µ m, depending on the reaction temperature. The Raman spectra of the obtained films indicated the presence of solid C60 and revealed the characteristics of polymeric Rb1C60, the crystal structure of which was confirmed to be body-centered-orthorhombic by X-ray diffraction analysis.
