Popis: | China has more wild strawberry resources than any other country in the world. Of about 20 Fragaria species, 11 are distributed in China, including eight diploid species: F. vesca, F. nilgerrensis, F. pentaphylla, F. gracilis, F. nubicola, F. mandschurica, F. viridis and F. daltoniana, and three tetraploid species: F. orientalis, F. moupinensis and F. corymbosa. Recently 7 natural pentaploid wild strawberry genotypes were collected from Northeast China. 147 wild strawberry specimens of 18 species have been collected. These wild strawberry resources were used for interspecific hybridization and more than 10000 seedlings including diploid, tetraploid, pentaploid, hexaploid, heptaploid, octoploid, nonaploid, decaploid, hendecaploid and dodecaploid hybrids were obtained. When these hybrids were used to backcross with the cultivated strawberry, some potential hexaploid, octoploid, decaploid, dodecaploid offspring were gained. |
