The high complexity of operations within truck transport markets hinders the prosperity of very small and small truckers and fleet operators. In that respect, strategies and technologies supporting operations management have become paramount for implementing investments in the said context. Goal of this paper is to propose a novel and fully integrated suite for trucking operations planning and real-time fleet management. For this purpose, the suite is built on the foundation of a multi-agent based intelligent and high-performance planning and real-time scheduling system, a novel management frontend and an innovative type of middleware equipped with unified adapters for local and internet based modules of the suite. |
