Six-Phase PMSM Drive Inverter Testing on a High Performance Power Hardware-in-the-Loop Testbed

Popis: This paper presents for the first time a six-phase Power Hardware-In-the-Loop (PHIL) testbench, featuring electromagnetic effects such as magnetic coupling and spatial harmonics. The proposed PHIL testbed can be used for testing six-phase Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machine (PMSM) drive inverters for electric vehicles under realistic operation conditions. This paper describes the developed six-phase PMSM model and its parameterization, as well as the structure of the PHIL testbed. Finally, measurements and simulation results are compared and illustrated.
