Effects of Combining Shading Analysis and the Unique I-V Characteristics of the PV Module

Popis: | 33rd European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition; 1954-1960 This study proposes a method for minimizing losses of partial shading, non-optimal orientation and tilt angle in PV carports. To accomplish this objective, a Matlab algorithm is present to study the effects of combining the incident irradiation analysis on PV module-level with a PV module electrical parameter in a 452.76 kWp parkingintegrated PV base study. Results shows that the total energy output of sorted PV string reached a gain of 0.011% compared with unsorted method associated to irradiation. Even though the method results in a low gain and the manufacturing process has being improved, this investigation indicates that an accurate PV planning appears necessary for better performance of PV carports subject to partial shading conditions. |
