Popis: | The paper proposes a method of approximation of the real confidence region of the motion of asteroids by an ellipsoid close enough to it. An algorithm for constructing such an ellipsoid is given. The algorithm was tested on a number of asteroids, the problem of estimating whose motion is nonlinear. The proposed method enabled tripling the threshold value to select a linear or non-linear approach to building a confidence region. |
