Popis:	The Archives of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith contain a large number of documents - still unedited - concerning censorship of the Acta Sanctorum. Five memoranda in their defence sent to Rome in 1696 by the Bollandists and Tirso Gonzales are presented which fortunately include the comments of the then Secretary of the Congregation of the Index, Giulio Maria Bianchi, that provide an insight into the workings of the Roman censorship authorities.
