Popis: | A virtual thermal sensor (VTS) is developed to estimate temperatures at various locations in an electric machine. The VTS is a model-based dynamical observer that requires only a single temperature sensor installed at an easily accessible location in the machine. Experimental results demonstrate that the VTS can provide useful estimates of temperatures at various locations in the machine in real time despite modeling uncertainty and unknown initial temperatures. |
