Popis: | The optical design of selective transmissive/reflective coatings for windows presents unique requirements. Requirements may include specifications of color, luminous as well as solar reflectance and transmittance. Computational design is greatly simplified if the optical requirements are formulated in terms of integral characteristics over various parts of the spectrum. A comprehensive program was developed that allows one to use various integral characteristics in the design formulation. Material data can be presented as a set of optical constants, by dispersive equations and/or various effective medium theories. The effect of manufacturing uncertainties in layer thicknesses on optical performance of the designed coating can be analyzed by the program. Optical constants of new materials and/or parameters of effective medium theories and dispersive equations can be evaluated by the same program using any combination of photometric and ellipsometric data. The program application is illustrated on a few examples of window coatings. |
